Yamal scored a contender for goal of the tournament as Spain beat France to progress to the final for the first time since 2012. With his career potential unknown, his match-worn shirt from the semi-final in particular, but indeed any game at Euro 2024, is going to be insanely valuable and coveted over time, especially if he follows a similar trajectory to Lionel Messi. Many footballers like to collect shirts of players they have played against and Mbappe clearly spied an opportunity to land a big one for his archive.
WHAT LAMINE YAMAL SAID
Yamal said: "Mbappe asked for [my shirt against France], well, a kit man in the locker room, and [Federico] Chiesa on Italy day. The kit men tell me who wants it. If Mbappe asks me for it, I'll give it to him [laughs]. No problem. I don't know what I have. When we won against France I was thinking about the final, you're so excited that you don't remember."

England stand between Spain and and the Euro trophy. Where Luis de la Fuente's Spain have set the standard as the team to beat so far, Gareth Southgate's England have been pragmatic and found ways to win in moments rather than consistently playing well. That arguably makes them even more dangerous because of how unpredictable they can be.
