After finding out their Group Stage pairings on January 31, where they will take on Club Puebla and Liga MX powerhouse Tigres, the Herons have now learned their path to the final.
By finishing first in their group (E3) they will take on the winner of E6 which consists of New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC and Pachuca. With a secondplace finish in the group stage, they will take on the winner of that group. Then, their journey really begins in the bottom-right corner of the bracket – which includes reigning MLS Champions, Columbus Crew.

Liga MX hosting hub privileges are a new addition to the format in 2024, with the four following clubs earning the opportunity through different phases of the tournament. They consist of the Liga MX Champion and the three remaining top clubs across Mexico, with the cities and respective venues allowing for minimal travel in these pre-determined locations.
Club AmericaThe Liga MX Champion and No. 1 ranked side, they will have hub privileges in the state of California through the Semifinal Round.C.F. The Herons will debut their 2024 run at Chase Stadium against Club Puebla on July 27 in front of their home fans.

The 2024 edition of the tournament begins on July 26 and will run until August 25. The month-long tournament, which will only be played across the United States and Canada, will see the winner represent the region at the FIFA Club World Cup.
As for Messi and Miami, the Herons have a few months to prepare for the group stage, as they look to go back-to-back in the marquee tournament of the domestic campaign.
